Values for Life
At St Andrew’s Major CIW Primary School, we believe that school plays an important role in helping children develop strong morals and values. Our staff work closely with pupils every day to model and encourage positive attitudes.
We provide a values-based curriculum that supports children in becoming kind, respectful and responsible individuals, both in school and in the wider community.
Our values are woven through everything we do, helping children to build confidence, understand their emotions and develop positive relationships with others.
Each year, we focus on six key values, which are explored through lessons, assemblies and everyday school life, so that children can understand and practise them in a meaningful way.
As a school, we focus on six values each academic year:
| Cycle A | Cycle B |
|---|---|
|
Generosity Compassion Courage Forgiveness Friendship Respect |
Thankfulness Trust Perseverance Justice Service Thankfulness |
