Sue Jordan (head teacher)
I have been Head teacher of St Andrews School for three years and I couldn’t be in a happier, more caring school.
The moment that I walked into St Andrews School to visit it for the first time before my interview, I was impressed with the very warm welcome that I received from the staff team and I knew that I wanted to be part of the school’s continuing success.
The whole school ethos is one of enjoyment for learning, enthusiasm for new challenges and caring for each other in a Christian church-school family.
I have previously taught in a range of different schools, beginning my career in London before getting married and moving to Bristol. I have two grown-up sons, Matthew and Stephen, one of whom got married last year and is living in Cardiff with his wife Sarah.
After teaching in the Bath/Bristol area we moved to Cardiff with my husband’s work where I taught in Llandaff City Church in Wales Primary School and St Brides Major Church in Wales Primary. I was Deputy Head teacher at St Brides for seven years; this is also a very successful church school in the Vale of Glamorgan.
I enjoy singing and a variety of sports including tennis and rugby – just a few of the strengths of St Andrews School!
