Pupils who have been identified as having additional learning needs will be placed on the "School Action" or "School Action Plus" lists.

This is a positive thing that ensures that their individual needs are identified and catered for.
To do this, an "Individual Education Plan" (IEP) is drawn up for each pupil on School Action or School Action Plus and is updated termly. This IEP identifies specific measures and resources that can be invested to ensure that the pupil's specific needs are met. Progress is monitored and assessed. The IEP is updated. This helps the staff at St. Andrews to be more aware of each pupil's needs and external support staff and clinicians to intervene in the best interests of each pupil ensuring proper support is provided.
The IEP is shared with the pupil's parents so that they too can be closely involved in supporting the learning objectives identified in the IEP.
